AN ANALYSIS OF MALARIA SURVIVAL OF PATIENTS A CASE STUDY OF NUHU BAMALLI POLYTECHNIC CLINIC, ZARIA (2015 – 2024)

ABSTRACT
This study examined malaria trends and survival rates at the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic Clinic in Zaria, Nigeria, using data from 2015 to 2024. Despite ongoing national malaria control efforts, the analysis revealed a steady increase in cases over the decade. Time series and linear forecasting showed annual rises of approximately 31 cases among males, 23 among females, and 54 overall, predicting nearly 1,985 cases by 2029 if no additional interventions are implemented. These findings underscore an urgent need for strengthened local malaria control strategies, including improved environmental sanitation, community health education, and enhanced disease surveillance to curb the growing burden.
