Abstract

ABSTRACT The Result Verification System is a web-based application designed to streamline the process of academic complaint resolution within tertiary institutions. The system provides dedicated portals for three key users: students, exam officers, and the head of department (HOD). Students can register, submit course-related complaints (such as Awaiting Result, Missing Result, and Carry Over), and upload supporting evidence. Each complaint is initially reviewed by the exam officer, who may escalate it to the HOD for further evaluation. The HOD, in turn, provides feedback to assist the exam officer in making the final decision—either to resolve or deny the complaint. Once resolved, students can view the status of their complaints and generate printable reports for official use. The system was developed using HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL, with a focus on creating a professional user interface featuring dashboard cards, side navigation, and dynamic data tables. This project aims to reduce manual errors, ensure transparency, and improve communication between students and academic authorities during the result verification process.
