ROLE OF BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN ENHANCING ENTREPRENEURIAL INNOVATION IN KWARA STATE
Abstract
The aim of this research is to investigate ithe role of blockchain technology in enhancing entrepreneurial innovation in kwara state while specific objectives are to investigate the effect of innovation on cryptocurrency, identify the extent to which risktaking affects smart contracts, examine the effect of innovation on smart contracts and explore the extent to risk taking affects cryptocurrency of GTB Ilorin. The research design employed for this study is descriptive and explanatory. The population of the study consist of 80 respondents from the organization out of which 76 questionnaires were distributed and 76 were returned. The researcher adopts Taro Yamane 1976 sample Size formular. For this study the researcher used quantitative method. During the course of this research work, a combination of tools was used to gather the required data. A survey instrument in the form of close-ended questionnaire was developed for the purpose of collecting the main data for the study. Data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 20.0 through a combination of both descriptive and inferential statistics. The finding shows that there is a significant relationship between blockchain technology and entrepreneurial innovation. The study concluded that innovation does affect crypto currency of the selected bank and this has been proven in the study as allowing swift increase in overall performance of the selected bank. Also, the study concluded that risk taking has a significant effect on the smart contracts of the selected bank which was shown in the cause of the study as the operation of the selected bank is improved as a result of their risk taking ability. In addition, the study concluded that innovation does affect smart contracts of the selected bank as the organization performance tends to be more effective and stable, and also experience a positive change in the overall performance of their organisation. The study recommended that Innovation on the organization performance of the selected bank should be accorded with huge attention so as to improve their crypto currency performance. Also risk taking in the selected bank should in addition be improved on so as to enhance their smart contracts.
