IMPROVING JSS.3 LEARNERS' READING SKILLS THROUGH TAKE-HOME ASSIGNMENT. A CASE STUDY OF ABOBI COMPREHENSIVE HIGH SCHOOL.
Abstract
This study explores the efficacy of take-home assignments in improving reading skill:
among Junior Secondary School (JSS) 3 students. A questionnaire-based approach wa:
employed, soliciting responses from both teachers and students.
The findings reveal significant improvements in reading comprehension, vocabulary, an
fluency. Teachers and students perceive take-home assignments as an effective tool, citin
benefits such as personalized learning and increased engagement. However, challenge
like inadequate parental support and limited resources were identified.
