Abstract

This study assessed the effects of work-life integration on employee retention in listed companies in Nigeria, using Rite Foods Limited as a case study. Specifically, it assessed the influence of flexible work arrangements, organizational culture, and technological tools and resources on employees’ decision to remain within their organization. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing a structured questionnaire distributed to a randomly selected sample of 162 employees out of a population of 273. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data and test the formulated hypotheses, with emphasis on the relationship between the key dimensions of work-life integration and employee retention. The results indicated that flexible work arrangements, a supportive organizational culture, and effective utilization of technological tools significantly influenced employee retention. Among these, flexible work arrangements showed the strongest positive impact, followed by organizational culture and technological tools. The study affirmed that employees are more likely to remain with organizations that foster holistic work-life practices. The study provides evidence-based insights for corporate leaders, HR managers, and policymakers, emphasizing the necessity of implementing work-life integration strategies to improve employee satisfaction and reduce turnover. By prioritizing flexible work schedules, cultivating a supportive work culture, and managing the use of digital technologies effectively, organizations can enhance retention and sustain long-term performance. Keywords: Work-life integration, employee retention, flexible work arrangements
