DESIGN AND FABRICATION OF A MOBILE LPG DISPENSING CART WITH 360 º ROTATING CYCLINDER HOUSING
Abstract
The aim of this project is to design and fabricate a mobile LPG
dispensing cart with 360º rotating cylinder housing, intended to improve
safety, accessibility, and efficiency for LPG vendors. The study involved
material selection, design calculations, fabrication, and testing of a single
cylinder mobile cart. Galvanized steel and mild steel were chosen for
strength and corrosion resistance, and a rotating mechanism was
integrated for convenient handling. The results showed that the cart is
stable, mobile, and allows easy access to the cylinder from any angle,
reducing manual handling risks. This design is expected to benefit
roadside LPG vendors, improving operational safety and efficiency.
Recommendations for future work include multi-cylinder capacity and
braking mechanisms.
