A REPORT ON THE CONSTRUCTION OF NUMBER ROD, SAND PAPER LETTERS, NUMBER TREE AND SOUND BASKET

They help children learn the shapes and sounds of letters. They are constructed with Acroboard, Sandpaper, Letter stencils and oke bond. The Sound Basket is a Montessori inspired phonetic activity designed to help young children connect spoken sounds (phonemes) with their corresponding letters. It was implemented by buying each alphabet object. These four tools: number rods, sandpaper letters, number trees, and sound baskets are designed to support children's early learning by providing concrete, multi-sensory experiences. They address the challenge of diverse learning needs, making abstract concepts more accessible and fostering foundational skills in literacy and numeracy. Recommendation of the tools for use: Start by showing how the rods increase in length, representing numbers from one to ten, Introduce one letter at a time, having the child trace it with their finger while saying the sound, Use the tree to visually represent number bonds, addition, and subtraction and Fill the basket with objects that start with a specific sound.
