FINANCIAL INCENTIVES AND EMPLOYEES’ PERFORMANCE (CASE STUDY OF SELECTED FILLING STATION IN ILORIN)
Abstract
Every organization is established to achieve some specific objectives. However, these objectives vary from one organization or company to another. Service companies’ objectives vary greatly from manufacturing and product distribution companies. In attainment of organizational goals and objectives, there is need for organization to take into proper consideration the needs of the most important resources which is labour. In the means of organizations to ensuring it succeeds, the staff member has to be retained in an organization because of various reasons. However, this study aims at investigating the monetary incentives and employee’s productivity. The research questions provide answer to how monetary incentives can affect the performance of employees. The population of the study comprises in which 77 sample size was gotten and also distributed out of which 76 copies of the questionnaire were returned. Multiple Regression was employed in analyzing data collected with the aid of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20. The findings revealed that the independents variables which are Bonus pay and share ownership are significant with Dependent variables which are service delivery and task accomplishment. Also, the study recommends that business should assist in taking the issue of monetary incentives serious as this will lead to an improvement in the service delivery and task accomplishment of employees
