IMPACT OF CORRUPTION ON NIGERIA ADMINISTRATIVE SYSTEM; A STUDY OF MORO OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA
Abstract
This study examines the impact of corruption in Nigeria administrative system, with a specific focus on Moro Local Government between 2019 and 2023. The research investigates the nature and causes of corruption, identifies its consequences on service delivery, economic development, and good governance, and proposes strategies for reduction. Using a primary approach method, data was collected through questionnaires, and analyzed using simple percentage. The findings of this study contribute to a deeper understanding of corruption’s impact on local government administration and offer recommendations for promoting transparency, accountability, and good governance in Nigeria’s administrative system. The study’s results are expected to inform policy decisions and interventions aimed at reducing corruption and improving the effectiveness of local government administration in Nigeria.
