KNOWLEDGE AND AWARENESS OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND GLOBAL WARMING AMONG RURAL COMMUNITIES’ WOMEN IN MORO LGA KWARA STATE
Abstract
This study assessed the knowledge and awareness of climate change and global warming among rural community women in Moro Local Government Area (LGA), Kwara State, Nigeria. Climate change continues to pose significant threats to livelihoods, especially in rural areas where agricultural activities form the backbone of sustenance and income. The study aimed to evaluate the socio-demographic profile of respondents, their level of knowledge and awareness of climate change, sources of information, perception of climate-related impacts, and adaptive strategies employed. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire distributed via online Google Forms, with a 100% response rate from 112 participants.
