DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF 3D CARD PAYMENT SECURITY SYSTEM (A CASE STUDY OF IBOKUN MICRO FINANCE BANK OBOKUN)
Abstract
The 3D Card payment security system is a robust protocol designed to provide an additional layer of security for online credit and debit card transactions. By utilizing a three-domain model, involving the merchant, issuer, and interoperability domains, this system ensures the authentication of cardholders and reduces the risk of card-not-present (CNP) fraud. This paper presents the design and implementation of the 3D card payment security system, highlighting its key components, system flow, security features, and benefits. The system's challenges and limitations are also discussed, providing insights into the complexities of implementing and integrating this protocol. Overall, this research aims to contribute to the development of secure online payment systems, enhancing the confidence of customers and merchants in the digital economy.
