Abstract

This study assessed the impact of climate change on tomato production in Ondo State, Nigeria. It specifically analyzed socioeconomic characteristics, the effect of climate change on yield, challenges, adaptation strategies, and profitability. Using a sample of 150 farmers, results showed that most farmers are male, married, and formally educated. Climate change had a significant negative impact on production, though the venture remains profitable with a return on investment (ROI) of 2.02. Recommendations include increased government support through extension services and credit facilities.
