Abstract

The characterization of the ethanolic extract of Hura crepitans leaves was carried out using Fourier Transformed Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy. This study revealed the presence of Alcohol, Alkenes, aldehydes and ketones, Nitro Compound, Aromatic and Aliphatic Amine. Thus, the medicinal and pharmaceutical properties of this plant maybe attributed to the presence of these organic compounds.
