Abstract

This research provides an extensive analysis of gender agenda within the framework of world politics, examining Nigeria’s position in global gender discourse. The study explores theoretical foundations of gender in international relations, global institutional frameworks, feminist political theory, diplomatic practices, peacebuilding structures, and development strategies. It evaluates Nigeria’s constitutional provisions, policy frameworks, political representation trends, socio-cultural constraints, economic barriers, and international commitments. The study further assesses the implementation gap between policy formulation and practical realities. Recommendations are provided to enhance inclusive governance, strengthen institutional reforms, and align Nigeria’s political system with global gender equality standards
