Abstract

This study explores the determinant factors influencing the acceptability of eNaira, Nigeria's Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC), launched in October 2021. Despite its potential to enhance financial inclusion and streamline transactions, eNaira's adoption has been limited, with many wallets remaining inactive. This research identifies key factors affecting user acceptance, including technological infrastructure, public awareness, trust in digital transactions, and regulatory frameworks. By analyzing these determinants, the study aims to provide insights into the barriers and opportunities for increasing eNaira's usage among Nigerians, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive financial ecosystem.
