THE ROLE OF DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN E-COMMERCE ACTIVITIES IN ORGANIZATION (A SURVEY STUDY OF SOME SELECTED ORGANIZATIONS)

ABSTRACT The role of database management system on e-commerce activates in organization. The researcher observed the users of e-commerce are undergoing serious losses which might be due inadequate knowledge of online activities, parking, Electricity power supply and competency scan and fire force among others. Ascertain e-commerce challenges on the performance of small and medium enterprises in Zaria metropolis, Kaduna State. The purpose of this chapter is to show the nature of data collected and method employed in collecting the data. The research design adopted for the study was a descriptive survey. This enable the researcher to made use of primary and secondary data collection. The population of the study is made of some selected businesses in Zaria metropolis which include 2 business organizations such as, Habib Yoghurt Nigeria Plc and Alba Bello Trading Company limited. A total of sixty three (63) respondent were randomly selected from these three (2) Small Scale Enterprises within Zaria metropolis, Kaduna State. The researcher employed the used questionnaire as an instrument of data collecting. A total of (63) copy of structure questionnaire was design and administered to the respondents of these three Small Scale Enterprises. That technological innovations reduce the burden if e-commerce registration in their various departments. The government should make available funds SMEs owners toward maintenance of the E-commerce activities.
