RELEVANCE OF INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY SKILLS ON THE ACHIEVEMENT OF THE ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS. (A CASE STUDY OF CENTRAL BANK NIG. ILORIN KWARA STATE)

The Relevance of Information and Communication Technology skills on the Achievement of Organizational Goals cannot be over emphasized; most especially in Nigeria. This project work examines The Relevance of Information and Communication Technology Skills on the Achievement of Organizational Goals. Before the advent of information and communication technology (ICT), communication within, outside and between offices and organizations has been a complex task, in the sense that, a lot of resources and time were wasted, much energy was spent before one could disseminate information from one person to another, offices and organization to another, but now the invention of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has reduce the stress. Also, the introduction of Information Technology (Office Automated Machine) has gone a long way in improving and making all tasks easy for any organization. Attempt were also made to look into the tools of information and Communication Technology (ICT tools) used by the organization to promote their productivity, Duties/Responsibilities of an organization, organization without adequate knowledge of Information and Communication Technology skills. Fourteen (14) tables illustrated the response of the case study while some agreed and some disagreed. The main purpose of this research work is to ascertain the relevance of Information and Communication Technology ICT skills on the achievement of organizational goals. It is obvious that information and communication technology affects many aspects of our lives and has penetrated to offices. This project work is meant to cover as much as possible all aspects of effective information and communication technology with much emphasis on its relevance to the achievement of organizational goals, it also deals and illustrates how the management of Central Bank of Nigeria can use ICT to improve the organization goals. Based on the findings on this work, it is recommended that organization must be familiar with the technology and the procedures currently in use in today’s offices in order to be able to transmit the written and spoken words effectively.
