IMPACT OF MODERN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM ON THE PRODUCTIVITY OF WORKERS IN SELECTED MINISTRIES IN DAMATURU METROPOLIS YOBE STATE

This study examines the impact of Modern Communication System on the productivity of workers in selected ministries in Damaturu Metropolis Yobe State. The objective of the study include; to assess the impact of modern channels of communication in the effective management of the organization, to examine impact of patterns of communication system in the effective management of the organization and the research question are what extend has impact of modern channels of communication system contributed in the effective management of the organization?, what are the patterns of communication system in the effective management of the organization. The population of the study consisted of 163 staff and 70 were selected as a sample using simple random sampling techniques. Questionnaires were used for data collection. The findings revealed that Modern communication channels enable fast and efficient, as well as economical, the help of digital technology, enables full connection with end-users through which they get accurate information about the habits and needs of employees, Modern Communication pattern can be seen as a link through which people within an organization interact to achieve a common goal and Internet tools affect the continuous change of mutual relationships and people’s behavior in organization, Internet also play a vital role in communication by receiving signals from Unit to another Unit in the organization, the study recommended that The organization should be encouraged to enhance effective modern communication in that effective modern communication brings organizational success, other pattern of communication should be effectively utilized by the management for enhanced communication, the type of communication chosen by the organization is effective for management of the organization.
