Abstract

This study examines the impacts of feminist movements on traditional conceptions of masculinity and the construction of male identity. Historically, masculinity has been associated with dominance, emotional restraint, and authority within patriarchal societies. Feminist movements have challenged these rigid gender norms by advocating for gender equality and exposing the limitations imposed by traditional masculine roles. Using philosophical and theoretical analysis, the research explores key feminist perspectives and theories of masculinity, particularly hegemonic masculinity and intersectionality. The study highlights how feminist discourse has encouraged more inclusive and emotionally expressive forms of masculinity while also provoking resistance and identity crises among some men. Ultimately, the research argues that feminist movements contribute not only to women's empowerment but also to the transformation of male identity toward healthier and more egalitarian gender relations.
