Abstract

This study examines the influence of reprographic services on students’ academic performance at Adekunle Ajasin University, Ondo State, Nigeria. Using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) as the theoretical framework, the study explores how the perceived ease of use and usefulness of reprographic services affect students’ academic success. The population of the study consists of 12,000 students, with a sample size of 400 students selected through simple random sampling. Data were collected through a structured questionnaire, and the analysis was based on descriptive statistics. The major findings reveal that a significant number of students (71.05%) actively use reprographic services, which positively impact their understanding, retention, and overall academic performance. A strong relationship was identified between the frequency of reprographic service usage and academic success. Additionally, while students generally perceive the quality of these services positively, concerns regarding outdated equipment were noted. Factors such as cost, convenience, and accessibility were also found to influence students’ decisions to use reprographic services. Based on these findings, the study concludes that reprographic services are crucial for enhancing academic performance but require improvements in infrastructure and accessibility. Recommendations include upgrading reprographic facilities, subsidizing costs for low-income students, and integrating digital services to meet the growing demand for academic resources. Further research is suggested on the impact of digital reprographic services and comparative studies across universities.
