Abstract

Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) is a gram-negative bacterium that colonizes the human stomach. It is estimated to infect approximately half of the world’s population, making it one of the most common bacterial infections worldwide (Hooi et al., 2017). H. pylori infection is primarily acquired during childhood and tends to persist throughout a person’s life if left untreated.
