Abstract

ABSTRACT Oxidative stress and endocrine disruption induced by environmental toxicants such as triclosan are emerging health concerns, particularly due to their impact on lipid metabolism, reproductive signaling, and immune regulation. Medicinal plants rich in polyphenols have been traditionally used for their therapeutic effects. However, their antioxidant potential and ability to modulate gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) signaling in triclosan-induced toxicity remain poorly understood. This study employed HPLC analysis to characterize the phytochemical composition of S. anceps flavonoid extract, followed by in vitro antioxidant assays, in silico evaluations, including ADMET profiling, molecular docking, and MM-GBSA free energy calculations, were performed to assess drug-likeness and receptor-binding affinity of the major compounds. In vivo studies investigated the effect of the extract on lipid profile
