Abstract

The gesture-controlled patient assistant device is designed to provide a simple and effective communication tool for patients with speech and movement impairments. By using gyroscope sensor attached to the hand, the device interprets specific hand gestures to trigger pre-recorded audio messages. These messages allow patients to express basic needs, such as "I need to use the restroom" or "I'm in pain," without the need for speech. This innovative solution integrates wearable technology with intuitive design to enhance patient autonomy and improve communication in healthcare settings.
