AKSABCARE: AN AI POWERED HOSPITAL DISCOVERY AND TELEMEDICINE PLATFORM
Abstract
This study addresses Nigeria’s healthcare challenges by developing AksabCare, an integrated digital health platform designed to make quality medical services accessible and affordable. With Nigeria’s limited hospital-to-population ratio and shortage of specialists, especially in rural areas, existing telemedicine solutions fall short. AksabCare bridges these gaps by combining AI-powered health guidance, global doctor consultations, verified e-pharmacy services, and hospital directories within a single web application built using Next.js, React, and Prisma ORM. Tested successfully to support over 10,000 users with efficient performance, the platform enables Nigerians to access quality healthcare at 70–80% lower costs, ensuring safer, faster, and more reliable medical support through its seamless integration of AI, global expertise, and verified drug services.
