CONSTRUCTION OF GAS LEAKAGE DETECTOR WITH CLIMATE MONITORING SYSTEM
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The objective of the project is to integrate conventional gas detectors with climate
monitoring systems in order to enhance their reliability. This will ensure both
environmental conservation and public safety by enhancing the accuracy, adaptability,
and responsiveness of gas leak detection in various environmental scenarios. Gas level
data is retrieved and heated in order to enable the functionality of the MQ2 gas sensor. It
displays data on a liquid crystal display (LCD) screen, alerts users of sudden increases in
gas concentration, and resumes data collection when conditions return to normal. When
the gas concentration returns to normal levels, an alarm is triggered. The system
timestamps the data using an embedded Real-Time Clock (RTC) and stores the
information on a secure digital (SD) card. Continuous operation is ensured through the
use of a backup battery. In conclusion, the only prerequisite is to position the system near
the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder head and at the same height.
