Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) on addressing the effects of broken homes among parents in Osun State. The research explores how media content influences public awareness, attitudes, and coping strategies related to family instability. Using a survey research design, data were collected from parents across selected local government areas. Findings indicate that OSBC plays a significant role in educating the public, promoting social values, and providing guidance on family-related issues through its radio and television programs. However, the effectiveness of these programs is influenced by factors such as audience reach, content quality, and public trust. The study concludes that OSBC contributes positively to mitigating the effects of broken homes, though improvements are needed for greater impact.
