DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF CLOUD-BASED HEALTHCARE APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Abstract
In today’s fast-paced digital world, efficient appointment management is crucial for service-oriented organizations such as hospitals, educational institutions, and corporate offices. Traditional scheduling methods are often time-consuming, prone to human error, and lack real-time accessibility. This project focuses on the design and implementation of a cloud-based healthcare appointment scheduling system that automates the process of booking, modifying, and managing appointments over the internet. The system leverages cloud computing technology to provide a scalable, reliable, and user-friendly platform accessible from any device with an internet connection. Key features include user registration, real-time availability checking, automated reminders via email or SMS, and secure data storage using cloud databases. The system architecture is built using modern web technologies and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high performance, fault tolerance, and data security. By integrating cloud services, the system minimizes maintenance costs and enhances collaboration between clients and service providers. The outcome demonstrates that a cloud-based appointment scheduler significantly improves operational efficiency, reduces appointment conflicts, and enhances user satisfaction compared to traditional manual scheduling methods.
