DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF EXAMINATION SCHEDULING SYSTEM USING WEB TECHNOLOGY
Abstract
The Exam Scheduling System is an important part of a learning institution and it enables the smooth and systematic flow of examinations. This paper will give a concise review of the available literature on Examination Management System, its functionalities, advantages, difficulties and its future. The main goal of the review is to enable the researchers, educators, and system developers to have a full picture of the current situation in the Examination Scheduling System and how it can be improved. The review starts with the exposition of the main functions of the Examination Management System such as exam scheduling, registration, question bank management, exam administration, result processing and report generation. The advantages of adopting an Examination Management System are then examined, including the fact that it results in higher accuracy, less administrative workloads, greater transparency, and greater accessibility to both students and faculty.
