Abstract

This study examines the effects of inclusive leadership on democratic governance in Tafawa Balewa Local Government Area of Bauchi State. Inclusive leadership emphasizes participation, equity, and representation of diverse groups in decision-making processes. The study adopts a survey research design, using structured questionnaires to collect data from residents and local government officials. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and regression analysis. Findings reveal that inclusive leadership significantly enhances democratic governance by promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. However, challenges such as political interference, lack of awareness, and weak institutional frameworks hinder effective implementation. The study concludes that inclusive leadership is essential for strengthening democratic governance at the grassroots level and recommends policy reforms and civic education.
