THE USE OF COMPUTER IN AN ORGANIZATION FOR EFFECTIVE PLANNING A CASE STUDY OF MINISTRY OF FINANCE AND ECONOMIC PLANNING
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The study examined the role of computers in enhancing effective planning within the Ministry of
Finance and Economic Planning. It employed a descriptive survey design, using structured
questionmaires to gather data from 80 employees, representing various departments in the
ministry. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics to understand the extent
to which computer systems contribute to planning efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making. The
findings revealed that computer technology significantly improves planning processes, enhances
data management, facilitates communication, and reduces human errors. However, challenges
such as inadequate technical support and outdated systems were identified. The integration of
computer technology in the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning has positively impacted
planning activities by improving efficiency, accuracy, and collaboration. However, the
effectiveness of these systems is hindered by challenges such as insufficient training, lack of
regular updates, and inadequate technical support. Addressing these challenges will further
optimize the use of computers in organizational planning, enabling better resource allocation and
decision-making processes.
