MEDIATOR-BASED TAILORING BOOKING SYSTEM
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The Mediator-Based Tailoring Booking System was developed to address the challenges faced by traditional tailoring services, particularly issues of poor customer communication, overbooking, delayed delivery, and lack of structured management. The system introduces a mediator who acts as an intermediary between customers and tailors, ensuring smooth interaction, proper workload distribution, and improved accountability. The application was implemented using PHP, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, providing an intuitive web interface for three main users: customers, mediators, and tailors. Customers can book tailoring services online, the mediator reviews and assigns tasks to available tailors, while tailors update progress and completion status. Through this system, communication gaps are bridged, workload is efficiently managed, and service delivery is enhanced. Testing results demonstrated that the system performs efficiently in handling bookings, maintaining user records, and tracking tailoring progress. Overall, the Mediator-Based Tailoring Booking System provides an innovative approach to modernizing tailoring operations, improving customer satisfaction, and promoting digital transformation in small-scale fashion businesses.
