Abstract

This study investigates the influence of the academic library on improving reading culture among undergraduate students of Umar Musa Yar'adua University, Katsina. Four research questions guided the study. A quantitative approach was adopted, and a sample of 351 students was selected from a population of 4185 students in the Faculty of Education. A questionnaire was used for data collection, and descriptive statistics were employed for data analysis. The findings suggest that library management should provide adequate information materials and implement new strategies to inform users about library programs, thereby promoting a reading culture among undergraduate students.
