Abstract

This study presents a comparative analysis of the impact of industrial waste-irrigated water used in agriculture. The research evaluates physicochemical parameters and heavy metal concentrations in irrigation water obtained from industrial and residential sources. Samples were collected from Janguza, Sharada, and Wailari and analyzed using standard laboratory techniques, including Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy (AAS). The results showed variations in parameters such as pH, electrical conductivity, dissolved oxygen, total dissolved solids, and turbidity. Heavy metals including iron, lead, chromium, and copper were also detected. Findings revealed that most industrial water samples exceeded World Health Organization (WHO) permissible limits, indicating potential risks to soil quality, crop safety, and human health. The study emphasizes the need for proper wastewater treatment before agricultural use.
