Abstract

1.0 BACKGROUND OF STUDY Weather has always been the force of nature that influenced mankind in a very commanding manner. According to the National Centre for Atmospheric Research, Americans check the weather 3.8 times a day. We are compelled by this force of nature because it is one of the few things that humans left untouched and out of their grasp of control. Trying to understand the weather and trying to forecast it correctly has been going on over the centuries and a lot of knowledge and data has been gathered which helped the researchers extrapolating methods of measuring weather phenomena and even forecasting the hazardous incidents of weather. Monitoring local environments is a crucial undertaking that enables a better understanding of climate change’s challenges and how to respond to them. (Chebbi et al.2011). Environmental changes usually refer to alterations in the natural surroundings of the Earth that can occur due to various factors such as human activities, climate change, natural disasters, and other natural processes. These changes can significantly impact the environment and affect many areas, including ecosystems, biodiversity, water resources, and human health. One of the main areas affected by environmental changes is ecosystems. Ecosystems are complex systems of living organisms, their physical environment, and their interactions. Environmental changes can have significant impacts on human health. Air pollution, for example, can cause respiratory problems, while exposure to chemicals and other pollutants can lead to long-term health problems such as cancer and reproductive issues. Temperature and precipitation patterns can also affect the spread of diseases such as malaria and dengue fever. As a result, environmental changes can significantly impact many areas, including ecosystems, biodiversity, water resources, and human health.
