DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF MOBILE RECRUITMENT SYSTEM FOR FEDERAL POLYTECHNIC, EDE
Abstract
This project, titled "Design and Implementation of Mobile Recruitment System for Federal Polytechnic, Ede", focuses on the development of an Android-based application aimed at modernizing and enhancing the recruitment process within educational institutions and similar organizations. The system bridges the communication gap between job seekers and employers, enabling a faster, more efficient, and cost-effective recruitment experience. The project was implemented using Android Studio for the mobile client interface, while the server-side functionality was developed using PHP for scripting and MySQL for database management. The application provides a user-friendly interface for both employers and applicants. Job seekers can register, apply for jobs, and receive instant feedback, while administrators can manage job listings, view applications, and schedule online examinations for screening candidates. The output of the system includes various functional interfaces such as applicant registration, job search, admin dashboard, and applicant profile management. Additionally, the system incorporates online testing, instant feedback mechanisms, and job alert notifications. By transitioning from manual recruitment to an automated mobile platform, the system significantly reduces recruitment time, enhances data accuracy, and improves user satisfaction.
