Abstract

This study explores the design and implementation of a secure and transparent voting system based on blockchain technology. Traditional voting systems often face challenges such as voter fraud, lack of transparency, and inefficiencies in vote counting. By leveraging blockchain’s decentralized and immutable ledger, the proposed system aims to ensure the integrity, security, and auditability of the electoral process. The system utilizes cryptographic techniques to guarantee voter anonymity while maintaining the authenticity of each vote. Smart contracts are employed to automate vote recording and counting, eliminating the need for intermediaries and reducing the risk of manipulation. Each vote is stored as a transaction on the blockchain, making it tamper-resistant and easily verifiable by authorized parties. Furthermore, the study examines the potential benefits of blockchain-based voting, including increased public trust, reduced operational costs, and real-time result availability. Challenges such as scalability, voter accessibility, and regulatory considerations are also discussed. The results indicate that blockchain technology has significant potential to revolutionize electronic voting systems by providing a secure, transparent, and efficient alternative to traditional methods. This research contributes to the ongoing development of trustworthy digital governance systems and highlights areas for future improvement and adoption.
