Abstract
The importance of learning Accounting in an organization cannot be over emphasized
throughout the age of mankind. The teaching and learning in accounting should be a
replica of what is happening in the present business world. However, such attitude may be
influenced by several factors such as teachers, parents, school, government and
environment. Many students lack interest in offering accounting courses. In this regard,
they often complained that the subject is too difficult. Even to balance the cash book, trial
balance, is a very big problem. The study made used of survey deign, data were generated
using structured questionnaire with sample of 100 respondents fromindigene of
Nigeria.Quantitative data that was obtained with the use of questionnaire were analyzed
using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Frequency, Percentages and Chi-
square were used for analysis of data. Further confirming this result was the X2 value of
43.300, df of 4 and a p value less than 0.05 levelof significance, which justifies that the
observed difference in frequencies were valid for further clarification. This finding shows
that moreof the proposed factors enumerated relating to teacher's attitude is accepted.
The learning of financial accounting depends on the way it is presented to the students,
the way the students actively interacts with the learning experiences presented to them
and the environment within which the learning takes place.
