The research instrument used in collecting data was self-constructed questionnaire and with the help of a trained research assistant, the researcher visited the pioneer hall of residence for data collection. The retrieved instruments were screened and coded into frequency tables while simple percentage and chi-square (x2) statistics were applied for data analyses. The result revolved inadequate water supply, poor waste management, students’ attitude, inadequate facilities and inadequate drainage system significantly constituted factors inhibiting hostel sanitation practices among federal science and technical college students living hall of resident. Base on the findings, it was recommended, among others that stakeholder’s i.e Government and Health educators should organize Sensitization programme to create awareness on the effect of poor sanitation on health of individuals.
