IMPACT OF TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION ON ORGANIZATIONAL PERFORMANCE (A STUDY OF INTERNATIONAL BREWERY PLC, ILESHA, OSUN STATE)

ABSTRACT This research was aimed at finding out the impact of Technology Innovation on Organization Performance using International Brewery Plc, Ilesha, Osun State as a case study. The purpose was to determine whether technological innovation have impact on organizational performance to examine if introduction of modern system has impact on staff morals and commitment, to investigate the steps taken by the organization in preparing workers for technological changes and to examine the significance relationship between technological innovation and organizational performance. The population size used was the entire staff of International Brewery Plc, Ilesha, Osun State which comprises of One-hundred and twenty-three (123) staff of which eighty-six (86) sample size was selected using Taro Yammane method. Data for this study were primarily sourced through the use of questionnaire. Chi-square was used to test the hypotheses. However, based on the findings, it was concluded the explanatory variables which include information technology and product innovation have positive relationship with organizational performance. And recommendations were also made based on the findings that manufacturers should be innovative about their technology so that they can be competitive in the market and company should train and re-train their employees so that they can master new innovation in order to be more productive, which will lead to better performance.
