Abstract

This research work on Solid-State Synthesis Characterization and Antimicrobial Activity of Cu (II), Co (II) and Mn (II) Metal complexes Derived from paracetamol was conducted in various analysis and obtained various result on it. The solid-state synthesis was conducted by grinding 2g of the ligand and 1.0g of the metal (II) complexes using glass mortar and pestle, The Solubility measurement of the ligand and the metal (II) complexes were obtained as all the compound are insoluble in water and soluble in DMSO, while some are slightly soluble in Ethanol and Methanol and some insoluble in Benzene and Acetone. The conductivity measurement of the metal (II) complexes is given as Mn (II) SO4 (0.48×10-6), for Co (II) SO4 (0.57×10-6) and Cu (II)SO4 (0.53×10-6) the molar conductance is given as (4.8, 5.7and 5.3) respectively. The physical property of the compound is the melting point of the ligand is lower than the decomposition temperature of the complexes, because the complexes is the combination of metal salt and ligand. The geometry of the compounds is tetrahedral geometry and the property is paramagnetic. The Antimicrobial activity the ligand and metal (II) complexes, the name of the bacteria is Eschorichia.coli and the name of the fungi is Aspergillus.flavus.
