THE EFFECTIVENESS OF BLENDED LEARNING IN BIOLOGY SUBJECT AMONG STUDENTS OF SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN KATSINA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA
Abstract
This study investigates the effectiveness of blended learning in enhancing Biology education among SS II students in Katsina Local Government Area, Katsina State. A quasi-experimental design was employed, with a sample of 385 students from six randomly selected secondary schools. The findings reveal that blended learning holds potential for improving student achievement and promoting positive perceptions among teachers and students. However, challenges such as inadequate technology infrastructure and disparities in access to digital resources must be addressed. The study recommends comprehensive teacher training, improved technology infrastructure, and supportive policies to facilitate the successful implementation of blended learning in Biology education.
