Abstract

This project design report outlines the comprehensive architectural planning and development of a Commercial Bank in Ede, Osun State, Nigeria, tailored to address customers and bank staffs. The facility aims to integrate customers -centered design, advanced technology, and sustainable practices while fostering a healing environment. The report begins with a historical overview of commercial bank , tracing their evolution from ancient civilizations to contemporary models, with global and Nigerian contexts highlighting advancements and local adaptations. Case studies of existing facilities, including Wema Bank plc Ede ( Osun State) , SHINONOME SHINKIN, Maebashi (Japan), and Guaranty Trust Bank GTBank, 90 Iju Fagba (Lagos), provide critical insights into functional layouts, material choices, and design strengths/weaknesses. A detailed site analysis of the proposed location in Ede evaluates natural features (vegetation, drainage, soil), climatic conditions (rainfall, temperature, wind patterns), and zoning requirements. Emphasis is placed on optimizing natural ventilation, solar orientation, and eco-friendly landscaping.
