Abstract

Spondias mombin (Anacardiaceae), commonly known as Hog Plum, has demonstrated significant potential in oncological research due to its rich profile of bioactive secondary metabolites. Studies utilizing HighPerformance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) have identified specific compounds that contribute to its cytotoxic and chemopreventive properties in animal models, particularly Wistar rats.
