THE INFLUENCES OF SUGARCANE BAGGASSE ASH ON SOME PROPERTIES OF RECYCLED POLYETHYLENE HDPE
Abstract
ABSTRACT
The influences of sugarcane bagasse on some properties of recycled polyethylene were
investigated. The blended samples were produced by two roll mill machine and the sample.
Studies of physical and mechanical properties such as density, water absorption, tensile
strength, and hardness were carried out. The study showed that the density decreases while
water absorption increased with increase and decrease in the percentage of HDPE/BGS. The
Hardness increased as the content is increased up to 100/0 composition then the tensile
strengths dropped continuously as the content BGS increased in the blends. In conclusions
this work shows successful blending of HDPE/BGS and REPS, this shows that biodegradable
BGS can be achieved by blending plastic materials with HDPE/BGS.
