DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF LAUNDRY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Abstract
ABSTRACT
This project presents the design and implementation of a Laundry Management System aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of laundry service operations. Traditional laundry management methods, which rely heavily on manual processes, are often time-consuming, error-prone, and inefficient, leading to delays and customer dissatisfaction. To address these challenges, a web-based system was developed to automate key activities such as user registration, laundry request submission, payment processing, status tracking, and complaint management.
The system was developed using the Agile Software Development Life Cycle to ensure flexibility and iterative improvement. Technologies employed include Python with the Django framework for backend development, SQLite for database management, and HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the frontend interface. The system provides a user-friendly platform for both customers and administrators, enhancing communication and operational workflow.
Comprehensive testing, including unit, integration, system, and usability testing, was conducted to ensure system reliability and performance. The results indicate that the system significantly reduces manual errors, improves service delivery time, and enhances user satisfaction. Overall, the Laundry Management System offers an effective solution for modernizing laundry services and can be further extended with additional features such as system integration and offline capabilities.
