Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of the present study was to scrutinize the presence of functional groups in clay sample. Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) was used for the analysis. The infrared spectral data revealed the presence of characteristic functional groups of amines, amides, Alcohol, Phenol, Alkyl halides, 1,2 amines, 1, amines, Aliphatic amines and Alkene compounds. The present study was revealed that clay sample as rich source of bioactive compounds, which could be utilized as good therapeutic agents.
