COMPARATIVE PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS OF ENCRYPTION ALGORITHMS FOR SECURE VIDEO, IMAGE AND FILE PROTECTION
Abstract
ABSTRACT
In recent years network security has become an important issue. Encryption has come up as a solution, and plays an important role in information security system. There is no single mechanism that will provide all the services specified. But we can identify a very important mechanism that supports all forms of information integrity is cryptographic technique. In this work we made to generate two algorithms which provide security to data transmitted. In this paper we implemented four encrypt techniques like BLOWFISH, TWOFISH, ECC and ElGamal. algorithms and compared their performance of encrypt techniques based on the analysis of its stimulated time at the time of encryption and decryption. This study delves into a comprehensive analysis of various encryption algorithms, evaluating their effectiveness in terms of speed, resource utilization, and overall efficiency. Through rigorous experimentation and benchmarking, we assess the impact of encryption on file access times, system overhead, and computational complexity. The findings provide valuable insights into selecting encryption algorithms tailored to specific file security requirements, fostering informed decisions for optimizing digital data protection. In this research, we employ a diverse set of encryption algorithms, including symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic techniques, to assess their strengths and weaknesses across different use cases. The study considers real-world scenarios, emphasizing both the computational and energy efficiency of these algorithms on various hardware platforms.
