CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY AND ORGANIZATIONAL GOAL ATTAINMENT (A CASE STUDY OF CHAMPION BREWERIES, UYO)

This research was on Corporate Social Responsibility and Organizational Goal Attainment using Champion Breweries Plc uyo as a case study. To accomplish the research objective, the study adopted the survey research design while the Taro Yamane Formula was used to determine ninety two (92) respondents as the sample size for the study. An instrument of the study was a self-developed questionnaire and the forms were personally administered. Research questions and Hypotheses were formulated to guide the study and data were analyzed using the simple percentages and chi-square (χ2) statistical tool. The study revealed that there is a significant impact of economic responsibility on Organizational Goal Attainment, that there is a significant impact of environmental responsibility on Organizational Goal Attainment, that there is a significant impact of ethical human responsibility on Organizational Goal Attainment and that there is a significant impact of philanthropic responsibility on Organizational Goal Attainment. Hence, it was recommended that management of organizations should behave in an environmentally friendly manner as this would help maximize profits, but positively impact the environment, people, and society and Management of organizations should abide by the laws that regulate their business as this would help build trust of customers.
