Mean Item Score and Kruskal-Wallis H test of difference were the statistical tools adopted. The result shows that the Respondents are trainedon fire-safety tips and that no likelihood of fire-ignition occurrence was recorded to the best of their knowledge within the building, the possible causes of fire occurrence, availability and suitability of fire-fighting equipment and the influencing factor to mitigate it likelihood were rated high, also, and the significant variation in the perception of Respondents on the causes of fire occurrence/incidence/outbreak and the influencing factors to fire safety measures in public buildings among Respondents shows no variation. Based on the outcome, conclusion was drawn that the end users of Public Building should be watchful on the likelihood of ignition occurrence. Furthermore, all staff should be given a fire-safety training periodically and fire-fighting equipment should be maintained and keep in a workable condition in case of emergency.
