Abstract

Quality improvement is critical in manufacturing industries, especially in rubber production where product uniformity determines customer satisfaction and cost efficiency. This study applied Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques—P-Chart, X-Bar Chart and NP-Chart—to monitor and improve production quality in a rubber manufacturing company. Data on defective products and dimensional measurements were collected over a specified production period. Control charts were constructed to determine process stability and detect variations. Findings revealed that the production process initially operated outside statistical control due to assignable causes such as machine calibration issues and inconsistent raw materials. After corrective measures, the process showed improved stability and reduced defect rates. The study concludes that SPC tools are effective in enhancing product quality, minimizing waste, and improving operational efficiency in rubber manufacturing.
